Please Help our Long-Term Residents
Would you like to contribute to the care of pets who have been with the League for a long time awaiting their forever home? They could definitely use the support, and so could we!
Quincy: Arrived December 14, 2006
Quincy is a shy and quiet girl that is looking for a quiet home where she can slowly warm up to her environment. She is not a lap cat but loves affection and will rub up against you for back rubs. She prefers a home with no children or dogs since she is quite timid. Qunicy can probably build a friendship with a laid-back kitty if you give her plenty of time to adjust. She is currently being fostered with an Animal Rescue League of NH volunteer. If you are interested in visiting her, please contact the shelter to make arrangements.

Sweetie: Arrived December 28, 2006
Sweetie is a very special 2-year old spayed female. She is looking for a new loving home to take her in. She does well with other cats and is a friendly girl. Her Feline-ality is: Private Investigator.

Mya: Arrived January 12, 2007
Mya is looking for a home where she can be Queen Bee! She wants to be center of attention and does not want to share her home with other animals. She is an indepedent girl that is full of life. She likes attention on her terms and will even crawl into your lap when she is ready. Mya will purr while hanging out with you and may even groom you after a nice head rub! Mya's feline-ality is: Private Investigator (Purple).

Shadow: Arrived August 19,2007
Shadow is a young spayed female German Pincher Pitbull Mix who was surrendered by her owner due to some behavior issues. Although she is a very friendly girl, Shadow will have to have an adults-only home because she has some toy aggression issues with small children. She has a very high energy level which requires a lot of exercise. Shadow will greatly benefit from obedience classes which will also help her become more socialized. She will require an owner with lots of patience since she is fearful of new people and things. She may also have Separation Anxiety which may be helped by crate training. Shadow is OK with some dogs but no cats. Because of her many issues we will be going slowly with her adoption so her new owners can really get to know her before the adoption becomes final. Shadow's Canine-ality is: Busy Bee (Orange)

Lady: Arrived July 14, 2006
Lady has been with us for over a year now, even though she is an absolute sweetheart. She loves to go for nice walks and just to be with people. Lady is on daily medication to help with her arthritis in her spine, with her medicine she acts like young girl! Lady is NOT good with cats and can be picky on her K9 friends she seems to prefer bigger, male dogs. Because Lady is a senior dog, most people pass her by but, Lady knows nothing of age. She just wants a home to call her own. Her Canine-ality is: Constant Companion.

Fergus: Arrived August 2, 2006

Fergus is a 6 year old neutered male. He was originally found as a stray. He is a very frisky boy looking for a home where he can play. His Feline-ality is: The Executive.

Ms. Kitty: Arrived December 15, 2006

Ms. Kitty is a 6.5-year old spayed female who was brought to the shelter because she was not getting along with the other animal in the home. She would much prefer to be the only kitty and have all of your attention just for herself! She is a very sweet girl, content to let you pet her while she lies quietly by your side. She can also be a fun loving, playful girl who can provide you with lots of entertainment. Her Feline-ality is: Party Animal.

Sharpie: Arrived December 26, 2006
Sharpie was a stray, and he probably is a pit bull/shar pei mix. He is a great boy who absolutely loves people. He will be a great companion to a very lucky person. He does well with other dogs but he does like to play rough, so some dogs may not be up for his excitement. Sharpie can not resist the fun he has chasing cats, so a home without cats is probably best. Sharpie also loves his stuffie toys! He can amuse himself for hours by throwing the toy in the air, chasing it and of course chewing it apart! The laughs will be plenty with this boy around. His canine-ality is: Busy Bee.

Nomar: Arrived December 28, 2006
Nomar first arrived at the shelter in December of 2006 due to some behavior problems in the home. These behavior problems were most likely due to the many changes that occurred in his home. Nomar is such a nice boy that we decided that he should have another chance! We are looking for an active home where Nomar can get plenty of attention and not have to be left alone for long hours at a time. We have tried placing Nomar into two other homes, but they ended up not being the best matches for him. We were really glad to see that in both homes, his behavior issue of urinating outside of the box was not a problem in either place! If you are looking for a needy boy that wants to be by your side, Nomar may be the boy for you! Nomar's feline-ality is Personal Assistant.

Minty Jax: Arrived April 10, 2007
Minty is a very social girl who perks up anytime someone walks by her cage. She is quite the intelligent bunny and will learn and play any game you create for her. She is a friendly girl looking for a new home where she can give and get lots of love and affection.

Eliza: Arrived August 19,2007
Eliza is a 4 year old spayed female who came to the shelter as a stray. She is a sweet, friendly girl who is a bit overweight. Since she has a possible skin allergy, she will have to be fed a high quality food especially for weight loss. Like most of her breed, she should have a home without cats or other small animals. Eliza really wants to be the only pet as she does not get along with dogs either. If you are looking for a faithful companion, Eliza may be the girl for you! Huskies also are known escape artists so she should have a fenced yard (not electric fence). Eliza is very social and would love to meet you. Come in and ask an adoption counselor about her. Eliza's Canine-ality is Busy Bee (Orange).
