Laurie Galletta, Volunteer Coordinator

Laurie joined the Animal Rescue League in September of 2008, and is the Volunteer Coordinator.  Laurie is responsible for the orientation and scheduling of the League's approximately 220 volunteers.  In addition, Laurie acts as a liaison between volunteers and staff, ensuring everyone's needs are heard and met.  Laurie graduated from Keene State College with a BS in Psychology and an AS in Chemical Dependency. 

Laurie has had extensive experience working with delinquent teens in MA and NH as the Program Supervisor of the Key Outreach and Tracking program.  She later worked as a Case Manager/ Social Worker at New Hampshire State Hospital.

Laurie left this position to raise her two daughters and considers parenting to be her most important responsibility.  Her daughters are an unending source of pride and joy to her and her husband Rick.  While raising the girls, Laurie did find time to join her father in a partnership to operate a travel agency, Go Travel, which she still maintains and operates  the Goffstown location.  More recently Laurie took on the volunteer position of Service Unit Manager for the Girl Scouts, overseeing 32 troops and 108 volunteers in Goffstown and Dunbarton.  She is also the leader for junior  troop 20844. She is active in her local school system volunteering at Maple Ave Elementary on a regular basis.

Laurie's Pets- Laurie is a cat lover and has three - Boo Boo, Za Zu, and Shelby - who have been with the family for approximately 12 years.  In 2009, Laurie and her family also adopted Kimber, a shepher mix puppy, from the League.
