 Laurie Galletta, Director of Volunteer Services

Laurie joined the Animal Rescue League in September of 2008, and is the Director of Volunteer Services. Laurie is responsible for the direction, training, and scheduling of the League's approximately 400+ volunteers and oversees the many volunteer programs.
In addition, Laurie acts as a liaison between volunteers and staff, ensuring everyone's needs are heard and met. Laurie graduated from Keene State College with a BS in Psychology and an AS in Chemical Dependency. She is a current board member for the New Hampshire Association of Volunteer Administrators (NHAVA).
Laurie has had extensive experience working with delinquent teens in MA and NH as the Program Supervisor of the Key Outreach and Tracking program. She later worked as a Case Manager/ Social Worker at New Hampshire State Psychiatric Hospital.Laurie left this position to raise her two daughters and considers parenting to be her most important responsibility. Her daughters are an unending source of pride and joy to her and her husband Rick.
Laurie's Pets- Laurie has several pets. Boo Boo and Danica - cats who have been with the family for many years. Laurie and her family also adopted Kimber, a Shepherd mix puppy, from the League. In 2010 they adopted Kallie, a catahoula spotted leopard dog/ Australian Shepard mix. Kimber and Kallie can often be seen in the volunteer office when Laurie is at work.
